Thankfully, Robin is nowhere to be seen.

Batman Arkham Asylum isn’t due out until the summer, but images of the final boxart are beginning to appear. We’ve got the cover from the Xbox 360 version here… It looks great, but I’m a little surprised that the Joker isn’t featured on it. Now I realize that this is a Batman game and everything, but didn’t “The Dark Knight” prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that The Joker is the real star of the show?

We also have the new Invisible Predator trailer for Batman: Arkham Asylum videogame.  This latest trailer shows the Dark Knight using his unique vantage point system to move without being seen while utilizing fear takedowns, Batarangs, and brute force to hunt down and defeat his enemies.  The trailer also showcases the unique, dark and atmospheric environment of Arkham Asylum – Gotham’s psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane.

Official Synopsis: Based on the core Batman license, Batman: Arkham Asylum will launch worldwide on Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION3 and PC in Summer 2009. In Batman: Arkham Asylum, Gamers will move in the shadows, instigate fear amongst their enemies and confront The Joker and Gotham City’s most notorious villains who have taken over the asylum. Using a wide range of Batman’s gadgets and abilities, players will become the Invisible Predator™ and attempt to foil The Joker’s demented scheme.

Batman and the Joker’s voice actors revealed!

That Batman: Arkham Asylum game is looking better and better… Instead of hiring some shlocko voice actor like Christian Bale to do the voice of Batman, Rocksteady games has locked down Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman throughout the many, critically-acclaimed animated feature films and the long running animated series.

Joing Conroy in familiar territory will be none other than Mark Hamill as the voice of the Joker. This will please many longtime Batman fans as few voice actors can really capture the manic spirit of the Joker like Hamill has ben able to in the past. Five-time Emmy award winning Batman: The Animated Series scribe Paul Dini is also onboard with a wholly  original screenplay, that promises to delve into some pretty dark material. Consider our interest piqued!
