We talk to the game’s Marketing Manager, Jarrett Lee

One of the most hotly anticipated games at this year’s E3 was Mass Effect 2, the sequel to Bioware’s beloved space-opera action RPG. We had a chance to play the game a little bit ourselves, and talk to one of the marketing managers about what’s new in Mass Effect 2, which characters and features carried over from the first game, and what new threats Shepard and his team will face now that the Revers and the Geth have been all but eliminated. Check out the interview right here:

We speak with Neversoft Project Director Brian Bright

Another year, another Guitar Hero game… Not that I’m complaining, but there sure are a lot of titles in the whole Guitar Hero/Rock Band family of rhythm action games. What will set this one apart from the rest? Well, as luck would have it, Guitar Hero 5 will have a number of new features and tweaks that should make it the ultimate party game, allowing any player to jump in and out at any time with any instrument they please, without even pausing the action! We talked to Neversoft Project Director Brian Bright about the new Jukebox, Party Play, and Rock Fest modes that have been deployed to enhance the Guitar Hero experience. Check it out!

E3 2009 - Hot Chicks With Video Game Dorks 0

Why should the doucehbags have all the fun?

By Moses Amadeus
One thing that I’ve always found amusing about the whole “Hot Chicks With Douchebags” phenomenon is that I suspect 90% of the dudes in the pictures never had a chance of scoring with the babes they are photographed with.

More likely than not, they saw the hot babe, handed their camera to their orange skinned, shiny-shirted friend and said (and feel free to say this in your head in a Persian or foreign sounding accent)“Yo B-Ro, take a picture of me with this fine lady, ok?” And then the chick’s all like “ehhh…” but the dude takes the picture anyway and it ends up on the Internet and the guy’s like (now say this one with a New Jersey accent) “Brooooo… I totally like f**ked that chick riiiiight?!” And their mom or whoever is within earshot laughs and is all like, “No you didn’t”.

The reason why I presume this to be the case is because:

A.)    I cannot believe in a god that would allow a chick like this to put out for a guy like that while perfectly good dudes out there are going without box everyday.

Exhibit A

And…
B.)    I saw this exact situation unfold literally dozens, maybe even hundreds of times at this year’s E3.

Don’t believe me? Well, it just so happens that I have evidence to support my claim. So please enjoy this gallery of Hot Chicks With Video Game Dorks from E3 2009:

E3 2009 - Singularity Exclusive Interview 0

We speak with Raven Software co-founder Brian Raffle

At this year’s E3, one of the best looking new IPs to debut over the course of the week was Singularity, a first person shooter from Raven Software and Activision. Singularity offers players a unique experience by giving them a TMD (Time Manipulation Device), which they can use to fast-forward, rewind, or suspend time. This can be used not only to solve puzzles, as one might expect, but also as a weapon. Remember that one scene in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? The one where that dude is supposed to pick the Grail out of a lineup, but he selects the wrong one? Yeah, it’s pretty much like that.

We talked to Raven Software co-founder Brian Raffle about his game, the time manipulation mechanic, and whether or not he’s trying to kick off another Cold War with the Soviets. Check it out!
