Crave Online Invades Wrestlemania for an entire weekend!

By Jeremy Azevedo This last weekend, Crave Online and our friends at Game Revolution and Wrestle Zone headed on down to Houston, Texas for Wrestlemania 25, one of the greatest sporting events ever witnessed by modern man.

On Friday before the big event, we attended THQ’s Superstar Challenge and conversed with some of the WWE Superstars in attendance there. Had we only had the opportunity to talk to WWE legend “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and no one else, it would have still been worth the trip. The man knows how to drink conduct an interview, goddamnit! As luck would have it, we were graced with interviews not only with the “Hot Rod” himself, but also with “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, WWE Diva Eve and a cadre of up and coming Wrestlemaniacs.

Just a few of the 72,000 souls in attendance at Wrestlemania 25!

The next night found us at the WWWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, where we witnessed the honoring of such superstars as Koko B. Ware (and Frankie, his avian sidekick), Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and Stone Cold Steve Austin. We didn’t actually talk to any of those people, but we did get “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart to sing “Sexy Boy”. Fair trade, I’d say.

Check out a hilarious video of both events right here:

As a longtime wrestling fan, it was a dream come true to be there at Wrestlemania 25, in a comfortably appointed skybox, up to my neck in free liquor, struggling to catch a nipple slip during the 25 Diva Battle Royal with a pair of cheap binoculars. Special thanks are due to THQ, who sponsored the event in promotion of their new wrestling title, WWE Legends of Wrestlemania, which stars 42 of Wrestling’s all time greatest superstars. Check it out, and keep your eyes peeled for their rumored follow-up, “Rowdy Roddy Piper’s People that are Scared of Horses: The Videogame”!
