Welcome to “Taco The Town”, CraveOnline’s badass new interview show!
Because we accidently set fire to our studio trying to re-create that one scene in “Weird Science” where the computer, like, gives birth to a super hot robot slave-babe, we’ll be talking to famous musicians, authors, balloon anamalists, alcoholic party clowns, sentient dolphins, actors and models in the one place that everyone can agree on: The Taco Stand!
Today we’ll be talking to hip-hop duo U-N-I, one of favorite young artists. Their new album, “A Love Supreme” calls to mind what was, in my opinion, the greatest era in hip-hop, when The Pharcyde, De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest were the top acts in the genre. U-N-I combines that early 90s good-time booty rap with ultra modern hip-hop electo and complex, positive ryhmes on what may well be one of the year’s hottest records. But don’t take my word for it, because what the hell do I know? Let them tell you, on location at Cinco De Mayo Tacos in beautiful sorta-ok downtown Culver City!

The bastard child of Punch-Out! is dragged kicking and screaming from the void…
I had to do a bit of research to find out if this was even real or not, but so far as I can tell, it is. A long-lost sequel to “Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!” Called “Mike Tyson’s Intergalactic Power Punch” has been unearthed, after being released 17 years ago as “Power Punch 2” and forgotten by time.
In this awesomely bad sequel to the beloved NES title, you play as Mike Tyson in a series of fights against the galaxy’s greatest boxers, many of whom appear to be cyborgs or werewolves or something (which seems kind of unfair, since most of them don’t even have ears to bite). Developed by Beam Software, the game became a buggy mess that was not helped by Mike Tyson’s rape conviction right around the time the game was expected to release. Subsequently, all references to Tyson, Don King and Tyson’s then-wife Robin Givens were removed and the game was shoveled under the rug with barely a notice.
Today, the original version has been restored and made available for download in all its shameful glory by a well-known collector of rare video games, Jason “DreamTR” Wilson. Download a free copy HERE but be advised that you will need an NES emulator in order to play it. Or better yet, you can go HERE to buy an actual NES cartridge copy of the game, provided by the classic video game archivists at Retro Zone.
Brother Ali on Ryhmesayers, Atmosphere, P.O.S. and destiny…
By Jeremy Azevedo
Brother Ali is one of the most recognizable figures in underground hip-hop, in part because he’s a rather large albino man with the tenorous voice of an old time preacher man.
Additionally, he’s also notable one of the biggest artist’s on Rhymesayers, which is itself arguably the biggest indie label in the hip-hop game. We talked to Brother Ali backstage at Paid Dues about the label he calls home and the inspiration that keeps he and his label-mates going. Check out that video here:

James Gunn’s “PG Porn” is a clever new web series that pays homage to all the best elements of vintage porno: The shitty video quality, the creepy acting, the copious double-entendres, the rad electro-funk soundtrack, the sex…
Just kidding about that last part! It’s called “PG Porn”, man, put it away and get ready to laugh instead of…whatever you were planning on doing.
The Office’s Craig Robinson and Gilmore Girls‘ Sean Gunn are looking to give Bree Olson and some other lucky ladies a ride… To their Nana’s house.
Crave Online Invades Wrestlemania for an entire weekend!
By Jeremy Azevedo
This last weekend, Crave Online and our friends at Game Revolution and Wrestle Zone headed on down to Houston, Texas for Wrestlemania 25, one of the greatest sporting events ever witnessed by modern man.
On Friday before the big event, we attended THQ’s Superstar Challenge and conversed with some of the WWE Superstars in attendance there. Had we only had the opportunity to talk to WWE legend “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and no one else, it would have still been worth the trip. The man knows how to drink conduct an interview, goddamnit! As luck would have it, we were graced with interviews not only with the “Hot Rod” himself, but also with “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, WWE Diva Eve and a cadre of up and coming Wrestlemaniacs.
Just a few of the 72,000 souls in attendance at Wrestlemania 25!
The next night found us at the WWWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, where we witnessed the honoring of such superstars as Koko B. Ware (and Frankie, his avian sidekick), Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and Stone Cold Steve Austin. We didn’t actually talk to any of those people, but we did get “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart to sing “Sexy Boy”. Fair trade, I’d say.
Check out a hilarious video of both events right here:
As a longtime wrestling fan, it was a dream come true to be there at Wrestlemania 25, in a comfortably appointed skybox, up to my neck in free liquor, struggling to catch a nipple slip during the 25 Diva Battle Royal with a pair of cheap binoculars. Special thanks are due to THQ, who sponsored the event in promotion of their new wrestling title, WWE Legends of Wrestlemania, which stars 42 of Wrestling’s all time greatest superstars. Check it out, and keep your eyes peeled for their rumored follow-up, “Rowdy Roddy Piper’s People that are Scared of Horses: The Videogame”!
